Nottingham Cycle City Ambition Programme (NCCAP)
Welcome to the Nottingham Cycle City Ambition Programme website. This site aims to give an overview of the programme breaking it down into separate stages providing all relevant plans, documents and consultation information.
Consultation on the Eco Expressway/Eastern Cycle Corridor begins 26/05/2016 and lasts until the 24th June 2016. To have your say visit our Consultation Map.
Works began on the Southern Cycle Corridor 23/05/2016, and are due to continue until late August
The whole project comprises the following 4 separate stages: select one for more information.
- Cross-city cycle routes The cycle corridors and their delivery will be closely aligned to the Inner Ring Road, Creative Quarter, Broadmarsh and Connecting Eastside schemes. Cycle improvements will be included in all of these City Centre schemes to ensure that the cycle corridors link up, take people to key destinations and do not abandon cyclists at major junctions on the highway network.
- City centre cycle connections As part of the Nottingham Cycle City Ambition Programme we will make the City Centre more accessible by bike and make travel across the City Centre easier. These routes will connect the Eastern and Western cycle corridors and provide connections to the wider cycle network.
- Access to green spaces and corridors The programme aims to provide enhanced cycle facilities in, around and to four of Nottingham's Parks - Colwick Park, The Embankment, Wollaton Park and Broxtowe County Park.
- Neighbourhood improvements As part of the Nottingham Cycle City Ambition Programme Neighbourhood level cycle improvements package will aim to make local cycle journeys easier, safer and more attractive, in particular for less experienced cyclists.
